Barry and Karen Watts didn't think they could afford a new home, but they decided to stop by Stream Valley Estates, a Richmond American community in Sterling, VA. There, the Watts found that a new home was within their reach, and that Richmond American could deliver everything they were looking for in a house. Barry and Karen selected the Monticello design for its open kitchen and family room and spacious bedrooms. Together, they personalized their home at the Home Gallery.
"Nina, our Design Representative, was instrumental in putting things together," said Barry. "She offered unbiased advice, and no personal opinions. She was never pushy; everything was our decision and our choice."
Karen enthusiastically agreed. "She was always there to answer questions. Whether by phone or email, she responded so quickly. Nina made the whole experience easy and comfortable."
The Watts were thrilled with their finished home. "We had a Christmas party shortly after we moved in, and we had 23 people standing comfortably in our kitchen," Barry recalled. "I love the efficient layout, the high counters in the bathrooms—all those little details we chose."
For Karen, one of the best parts of her homebuying experience has been Home Care. "I love the fact that Richmond American was still around after the sale in case we had problems," said Karen.
The Watts had never shopped by builder before, but after their experience with Richmond American, they had nothing but praise. "Every day," said Barry, "we wake up and say ‘This house is beautiful!'"
