At age 47, Lisa Byard-Johnson couldn't be happier. In July of 2009, she and her husband proudly became homeowners for the first-time at Richmond American's Royal Oaks community in Burlington Township, New Jersey.
In the beginning of their home search, the couple shopped around, but they ultimately came back to Richmond American Homes, where their Sales Associate, Irene, listened to their needs and helped them find the right home for their family.
When asked what she likes the most about her floor plan, Lisa couldn't pick just one thing, but her three kids think differently. They love having their own rooms.
"The kids love it. They have their own space. I can't begin to tell you how excited we are," said Lisa.
The family's great experience didn't stop there. Because they were building their home from the ground up, Lisa and her husband were able to go to the Home Gallery to select fixtures and finishes. Jamie, their Design Consultant, showed them their choices and helped them stay within their budget. Then she presented the couple with a design plan.
"At first I just started crying," explained Lisa, "That's what happens when you want something for so long and you finally see it all coming together in front of you."
Lisa also gave praise to Matt, their Construction Superintendent, who did the walk-thru and explained everything about their new home from beginning to end.
"Matt gave us his cell phone number. With most companies, you're done after you close, but Richmond American still cares after the fact."
Lisa joked that she would like to recommend Richmond American to about a million people. "Everyone we worked with went the extra mile," she emphasized, "You don't get that just anywhere these days."
