REFINANCING YOUR HOME

Thinking about refinancing? Not sure if it's the right time? HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation can help. You may be able to pay less interest, lower your monthly payment or take cash out of your home. You may also consider converting from a 30-year to a 15-year loan to help build equity faster, or refinance from an adjustable rate mortgage to a fixed rate mortgage with a more stable payment. Keep in mind that by refinancing your current loan, your total finance changes may be higher over the life of your loan.

Ask yourself these questions…
  • How long do you plan on living in your home?
  • Is the interest rate on your adjustable-rate mortgage about to increase?
  • Do you have a first and second mortgage you would like to consolidate into one loan?
  • Do you want to borrow against your equity with a cash–out refinance?
Your answers to these questions will tell you a lot about whether you should consider refinancing. But they won't tell you everything. As with many financial decisions, it's the details that matter. Use the following calculators to get a better idea of how you might personally benefit from refinancing:
