After purchasing his first home in 1994, Patrick Volmar decided he enjoyed the homebuying process enough to get started in real estate himself. Today, Patrick works for Realty One Group in Las Vegas. He makes a point to develop personal relationships with buyers and is there for them every step of the way. Though he sells both new and resale, Patrick says selling new homes almost seems more rewarding.

When it's time to start a new home search, Patrick usually starts with Melissa, a New Home Specialist at the Home Gallery and his dedicated contact at Richmond American. Once Melissa knows the client's price range and a few other facts, she directs Patrick to the communities that may fit the buyer's lifestyle and budget.

Patrick was one of the first Realtors® to try the new 30-day Online Client Registration feature on RichmondAmerican.com. Here's how it works: You go online and register a client. Then the client receives an email requesting confirmation. Once they confirm, the client can tour any Richmond American community paperwork free. Best of all, if the broker or Realtor® is not available, they won't lose out on commission based on not being there during the visit.

"It's nice to know Richmond American will take care of both me and my clients if they happen to come in once I've introduced them,” Patrick explained, "Online client registration helps me work with multiple clients at once. Debbie Haas began her career in real estate when she was 9 months pregnant with her son. She and her dad started as a team together and they're still a team today. Her favorite part of the job? The opportunity to meet a variety of different people. She also enjoys holding open houses and hearing the stories behind why people walk through the door.

Debbie can't say enough about her preference for selling new homes over what she calls "yucky" bank owned properties.

“Buying a home should be fun and exciting, but foreclosures get buyers negative about buying. The multiple bids and counteroffers can be frustrating," explained Debbie, "With new homes, buyers can take advantage of beautiful upgrades, and may qualify for special offers. It's a little bit easier for everyone…and clients are less stressed!”

She also pointed out how hard it can be to come up with the cash to fix up a bank owned home, especially for first-time homebuyers. Overall, she says purchasing a new home is a "no-brainer."

As far as working with Richmond American goes, Debbie is happy with the whole package. "It's good to know that if I bring someone in, I'll have a reliable Sales Associate that can keep my buyers happy," raved Debbie, "Plus the floor plans and prices are excellent. I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing clients in if the product wasn't good."

The Sales Associate who stands out to Debbie is Barbara at Richmond American's Villages at Sterling community in Queen Creek. At one point, Debbie had a client who was frustrated with the home search process after previous attempts to buy hadn't worked out. They were taking a "breather" from looking at homes when Debbie called up Barbara and they were able to find the perfect floor plan and close the deal without a hitch.

"Barbara goes the extra mile. She doesn't have to, but she does," said Debbie, "Every transaction has flowed very well. I wish I had bought my home from Barbara!"
