Boasting breathtaking scenery and a welcoming community, Castle Rock, Colorado, is an idyllic place to call home. Located about 30 miles south of Denver, this peaceful town was named one of Money Magazine\u2019s 2019 Best Places to Live<\/a>, and homebuyers seem to agree. Ongoing growth is just one of the reasons to consider a move to Castle Rock: a plethora of natural wonders and wide range of attractions make it even more appealing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continued Growth <\/strong>
According to 2017 U.S. Census data, Castle Rock, Colorado, is one of the seven fastest growing cities in the nation. One look at the town\u2019s Development Activity tracker<\/a> shows a great deal of current activity, and businesses are drawn to a highly skilled, experienced work force. The area saw 26.8% job growth between 2010 and 2018<\/a>, and is projected to rise an additional 6.6% by 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The population is also expected to rise; with a projected annual growth rate of 6%, Castle Rock Economic Development<\/a> believes Castle Rock\u2019s population will reach 100,000 by 2060 (it\u2019s currently just over 66,000). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Great Outdoors <\/strong>
Nestled in Colorado\u2019s rolling foothills, Castle Rock is an ideal setting for outdoor adventures. The town offers more than 85 miles of trails, 6,000 acres of open spaces and 50 parks, the most popular being the 300-acre Philip S. Miller Park<\/a>, built in 2013. It features eight miles of trails, a 200-step Challenge Hill, a zipline course, climbing walls, a ropes course, a Ninja Warrior-inspired course and the Miller Activity Complex<\/a>, a nearly 65,000 sq. ft. recreational facility. The park also hosts a free summer concert series, Sunday yoga and Friday fitness classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hikers can explore Ridgeline Open Space<\/a>, Gateway Mesa Open Space<\/a> and East Plum Creek Trail<\/a>, as well as a 1.4-mile loop to reach the base of the iconic rock that gave Castle Rock its name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Vibrant Community <\/strong>
Castle Rock is home to an active, engaged and welcoming community, and residents can take part in year-round events and programs for all ages. From a Glow Dance Party<\/a> to the Trails Festival<\/a> (where runners can choose courses ranging from a 5k to a 50K ultra marathon), there\u2019s something for everyone to enjoy.
