The color palette<\/h2>\n

Sherwin-Williams\u00ae Balanced Beige (SW 7037)<\/a> \"1\", Backdrop (SW 7025)<\/a> \"2\" and Pearly White (SW 7009)<\/a> \"3\" set the stage for the room’s rich bronze, silver, taupe, ash and spicy ginger tones.<\/p>\n

The lighting<\/h2>\n

Our designers have selected a North Park ceiling fan<\/a> by Progress Lighting\u00ae \"4\" and a pair of Teo table lamps<\/a> with flat shades<\/a> by Arteriors Home\u00ae \"5\" to supplement the room’s abundant natural light. The clean, squared lines of the ceiling fan’s blades and glass<\/a> mimic the strong angles of the transitional style furniture and contrast the soft curves of the blown-glass table lamps.<\/p>\n

The furniture<\/h2>\n

The focal point of the bedroom is, of course, the impressive bed \"6\" flanked by a pair of Hampton bedside chests<\/a> \"7\". Ours is a custom-built Sherry bed by Brownstone, featuring dark walnut wood and raw Catania silk upholstery. If you’re looking for a similar style that’s ready off the shelf, check out Stanley Furniture’s Hudson Street-Avenue upholstered bed<\/a>. The pewter leather Karr stools<\/a> at the foot of the bed were from Room & Board\u00ae \"8\" and the wingback Bristol chair \"9\" was custom upholstered for us. If you’d like to have this chair, have it upholstered through a store like Metrospace Home<\/a> or select a readymade substitute like this one<\/a> from Crate & Barrel.<\/p>\n

The fabrics<\/h2>\n

The bed’s luxurious raw silk upholstery is complemented by a matching tailored bedspread with gusseted corners \"10\", a custom ginger throw and matching pillows in Robert Allen’s Multi Pearl<\/a> pattern \"11\", granite gray Catania silk pillows \"12\" and an Anise Embroidery<\/a> accent pillow in ash gray by Romo \"13\". Drapes made from the same granite silk as the pillows have delicate Henna beaded trim<\/a> by Trend\u00ae \"14\" and dark walnut Stroheim\u00ae hardware \"15\" for an added touch of understated elegance.<\/p>\n

The accessories<\/h2>\n

The finishing touches on our master<\/em>piece are the accessories.<\/p>\n
