After years of renting, Justin and Chloe knew they were ready to make their homebuying dreams come true. With the help of their Richmond American team, they were able to find a place to start the next chapter of their lives together—complete with a closing-day engagement!
The home search…
Both Justin and Chloe were first-time buyers, so they took their time weighing their options. During their two-month house hunt, they connected with Brigitte, the Richmond American sales associate who ultimately connected them with their new home. She listened to the couple’s specific needs and wants, then guided them to the homes and floor plans that best fit what they were looking for. In the end, they chose a ranch-style Bronze home at Seasons at Rio Rancho in Phoenix. They loved that it was a better size for them than their current rental, making it easier to clean and maintain.
Though the couple initially had reservations about buying a new-construction home, their superintendent, Mike, quickly set them at ease. They decided that the convenience and benefits of a new home with a first-year warranty would make the transition to homeownership easier, and they’ve been very happy with their decision ever since.* Justin said he would definitely choose Richmond American again after going through this experience so far—and recommend us to house-hunting friends and family as well.
The homecoming…
The most exciting part of Justin and Chloe’s homebuying journey was the day they got their house keys! While the couple celebrated on that first day, Justin proposed to Chloe (…and she said yes!), adding the first of many happy memories to their new home.
The happy couple aren’t the only ones who quickly settled in. Their much-loved black lab, Oakley, also approved of the move. “Within a day of being in the house, she knew it was home,” Justin said. She was very excited to explore her new space and happily chase after rabbits in the nearby park.

Each member of the family has a favorite feature in their new home.
Everyone loves the open layout of the kitchen and dining room and they’re looking forward to entertaining more guests in their new space. So far, Chloe and Justin have hosted small gatherings with friends and family members, including Chloe’s parents. Playing games and spending time with some of the people they care about has made their new house feel like home. It also helps that the neighbors have been very friendly and welcoming to the young couple, so they’re excited to be a part of the community.
