According to 2017 U.S. Census data, Castle Rock, Colorado, is one of the seven fastest growing cities in the nation. The area saw 26.8% job growth between 2010 and 2018, and is projected to rise an additional 6.6% by 2023.

The population is also expected to rise; with a projected annual growth rate of 6%, Castle Rock Economic Development believes Castle Rock’s population will reach 100,000 by 2060 (it’s currently just over 66,000).

The Great Outdoors
Nestled in Colorado’s rolling foothills, Castle Rock is an ideal setting for outdoor adventures. The town offers more than 85 miles of trails, 6,000 acres of open spaces and 50 parks, the most popular being the 300-acre Philip S. Miller Park, built in 2013. It features eight miles of trails, a 200-step Challenge Hill, a zipline course, climbing walls, a ropes course, a Ninja Warrior-inspired course and the Miller Activity Complex, a nearly 65,000 sq. ft. recreational facility. The park also hosts a free summer concert series, Sunday yoga and Friday fitness classes.

Hikers can explore Ridgeline Open Space, Gateway Mesa Open Space and East Plum Creek Trail, as well as a 1.4-mile loop to reach the base of the iconic rock that gave Castle Rock its name.

A Vibrant Community
Castle Rock is home to an active, engaged and welcoming community, and residents can take part in year-round events and programs for all ages.
