Las Vegas is more than just a tourist destination
With natural attractions, family amenities and unique suburbs, enjoying life in Las Vegas is so much more than the glamour of The Strip. Homeowners in the area enjoy stellar dining, rock climbing, indoor skydiving, Lake Mead and beautiful Red Rock Canyon. Those considering moving to Las Vegas are sure to be impressed with the variety of lifestyle options.
Hot Air Balloon Rides: A hot air balloon ride is the perfect way to commemorate milestone occasions and see Las Vegas from a higher perspective.
Red Rock Canyon: Red Rock Canyon offers many different activities. Visitors can camp, hike, bike and climb. Red Rock Canyon is also exciting for those interested in geology. Both beginner and advanced geologists have many rock formations to observe, including Aztec Sandstone, Iron Concretions, Limestone and Dinosaur Fossils. Don’t miss Mojave Max, “the desert spokestortoise for all the wild tortoises that live in the Mojave Desert.” (Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association)
American Alpine Institute: If you enjoy rock climbing, this is the place for you. Located only 20 miles from The Strip, this part of Red Rock Canyon offers guided rock climbing where you can learn to climb, improve your skills and enjoy the scenery. Climbing routes are available for all skill levels.
Cowboy Trail Rides: Choose from a variety of ride options evocative of the Wild West (without the violence). Be sure to check out seasonal specials for Valentine’s Day, Easter Sunday and Mother’s Day.
Lake Mead: The Lake Mead National Recreation Area features outdoor activities year-round. Those who visit Lake Mead can enjoy boating, wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, fishing, hiking, photography, picnicking and sightseeing. Be on the lookout for wildlife found only in the desert.
Vegas Indoor Skydiving: At Vegas Indoor Skydiving, families can enjoy the exhilaration of skydiving without jumping out of a plane. All necessary gear is included with the flight purchase and participants attend a brief training class about the basics of indoor skydiving.
Battle Blast Laser Tag: Similar to the rest of Las Vegas, laser tag is a spectacle. Players get to experience the feeling of entering a live action video game in a large, multi-level arena.
Opportunity Village: Opportunity Village is a Las Vegas charitable organization that puts on fun seasonal events. Enjoy HallOVeen at the Magical Forest, Camelot, the Las Vegas Great Santa Run and other events.
Even as a local, traditional Las Vegas can be a lot of fun.
Travel many parts of the world while staying on one street. Live the Parisian lifestyle at Paris Las Vegas where you can enjoy the Eiffel Tower Experience, Le Cabaret and noteworthy shopping. At The Venetian, enjoy a leisurely gondola ride with a singing gondolier in the cleanest canals you’ll find! New York, New York features The Park and Brooklyn Bridge. Rome-themed Caesars Palace boasts The Forum Shops and Qua Baths & Spa.
Fremont Street Experience: If you’ve never seen Fremont Street, it is definitely worth your time. Fremont Street is considered downtown Las Vegas and is home to the Slotzilla Zip Line, Viva Vision Light Show, Neon Museum, Shark Tank at the Golden Nugget and Main Street Station.
