But for families with school-aged children (and even folks just thinking about resale), education is typically at the top of the new home wish list.

The good news is there are many top-notch schools in and around The River City. Here, we’ve identified three great public schools in Jacksonville that earned top marks from GreatSchools.org, the “leading national nonprofit empowering parents to unlock educational opportunities for their children.”

Great.Schools.org rates each school according to test results in reading, writing, science and math, and the following institutions received a coveted 10 out of 10 score. Perhaps best of all, they’re conveniently located near exciting amenities and our exceptional new home communities!

Liberty Pines Academy

Located in sought-after St. Johns, this noteworthy school serves approximately 1,350 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Part of the acclaimed St. Johns County School District, Liberty Pines Academy boasts above-average student proficiency rates on statewide standardized tests.

Liberty Pines Academy is located near Glen St. Johns, which offers inspired ranch and two-story floor plans from the upper $200s.

Pacetti Bay Middle School

Serving approximately 1,100 students, Pacetti Bay Middle School in St. Augustine is “an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program school.” As such, it offers student-focused curriculum with an emphasis on “authentic, real-world assessments and learning experiences” and community service as well as mandatory participation in language and the arts.
