  • Learn the steps of the mortgage process and the role your loan processor will play
  • Find out what you’ll need to do—and avoid—to keep things moving smoothly
  • Establish an estimated Home Gallery™ spending allowance

  • Go over product information, including care and maintenance
  • Create a Home Change Order for you to sign, finalizing your home selections. After this point, no changes can be accommodated, so be sure to review this document carefully.
  • Collect your deposit, if needed

Obtain proof of insurance

Have you chosen an agency to handle your homeowners insurance? If not, let us put you in contact with an agent at American Home Insurance Agency (AHI), our insurance affiliate. He or she can provide a no-obligation quote and answer policy questions. AHI has nearly two decades of experience in working with us—experience that can help ensure a smooth closing.

As soon as you’ve chosen a provider and policy, you’ll need to submit an Evidence of Insurance (EOI) form to your lender. They’ll need it in hand 14 days prior to your closing date.
