The Benefits of a Master-planned Community

October 12, 2015

Master-planned communities are in demand nationwide, and the reasons are easy to spot:

  • Amenities! Many masterplans are designed with easy access to shopping, dining, schools and recreation—sometimes within walking distance. You may also find popular neighborhood features like parks, trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and even more substantial amenities like clubhouses, fitness facilities, pools and sports courts have been included.
  • Character! Because master-planned communities are developed from a “big-picture” perspective, more forethought can be devoted to their design aesthetic. Streetscapes and home exteriors may need to conform to a community’s theme, whether that’s Tuscan-inspired, Colonial, Spanish or Craftsman. Entry monuments, street signs, community landscaping and other details may be planned to enhance the overall sense of community.
  • Value! No home investment offers a guaranteed profit, but many master-planned communities are built with covenants and homeowners associations in place to maintain the neighborhood’s common areas and protect its visual charm. A community with curb appeal won’t hurt when it’s time to sell in the future!
